Audiomat Audiomat was established in 1986 by two brothers, Denis and Norbert Clarisse. Denis Clarisse is the computer specialist and Norbert Clarisse the electronics specialist. Together they develop and produce Audiomat tube-amplifiers, DAC's and phono pre-amps. The name Audiomat is a combination of the words "audio" (listen, enjoy and experience) and "materiell" (material, tools). The two brothers follow a number of principals that have become rare to the hi-fi world today: they only use proven technologies; all the components are chosen solely on the basis of reliability and sound quality; protoypes are tested during an extensive period if time "with own ears" and only appear as product on the market after a test period of 6 to 24 months; their product range is very constant (never change a winning team), Audiomat can afford the luxury of not replaceing existing models frequently and they keep production numbers low, they are not market driven, only driven by passion; each piece of Audiomat equipment is hand-built from beginning to end by one person in the south of France and can be seen as a unique creation. The customer therfore gets a true instrument to music, the press are equally enthousiastic: "...worth three times it’s price..." of "...beats the competition regardless of price!..." The french press wrote about Audiomat: "Since fifteen years, Audiomat has slowly but firmly built a perfect reputation. Speaking with Audiomat owners is enough to understand the success of this brand. No aftersales problems, no used products, satisfied customers, call it happiness..." Like the word Audiomat already states: music is the most important, something that tg-acoustics can only agree with.

Forget the usual HiFi boom, bang and sizzle; the Opéra simply plays music. I don't know how else to say it. In fact, I'm a trifle disappointed in my review of it. I can't quite find the words to express how good I think this amp is and what, specifically, it does so well to be so superior. You need to hear that for yourself. Suffice it to say, my quest for the ideal integrated might be at an end. If you ever tire of listening to this amp, you might as well throw yourself under a bus. Your zest for life will have surely faded at this point. Nothing I have heard to date has gotten me so close to the music and the artists' intent than the Opéra Référence. A truly wonderful amp..." • the Audiomat Opéra Référence can be auditioned by appointment • Price € 5.480,- including a full-metal remote. Audiomat amplifiers are available from € 2.300,-
